VIDEO: TJ Dillashaw vs Joe Soto KO - UFC 177 Full Fight Highlights from 8/30/14

Watch complete fight highlights of UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw's head kick knockout of Joe Soto in the main event of UFC 177: Dillashaw vs Soto on Saturday, August 30, 2014, in Sacramento, California.

Team Alpha Male's TJ Dillashaw was originally supposed to run it again with former 135-pound champion Renan Barao at UFC 177, however, Barao passed out while cutting weight and hit his head, which required a trip to the hospital and forced him out of his championship rematch. Instead, the UFC-debuting Joe "One Bad Mofo" Soto, a former bantamweight champion in Bellator and Tachi Palace Fights who was scheduled to fight on the undercard, stepped up to the plate to headline a UFC PPV in the chance of a lifetime. Soto proved himself up to the task with a competitive showing against Dillashaw, but eventually fell to a head kick and punches in the last round. Remarkably, this is the second fight in a row that the cardio phenom Dillashaw has finished in the fifth round.

The official UFC 177 salaries have been released by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC). UFC 177: Dillashaw vs Soto was held Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, CA.

These salary amounts do not include any individual fighter endorsement earnings for this event, nor do they include any undisclosed bonuses which are commonly paid to fighters by Zuffa in private. Fighters pay out of pocket for training, licensing fees and related expenses. Fighters spend months training in preparation for these fights, so they are being paid for the work they have already completed in the gym, as well as their performance on fight night.

UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw, fighting out of the Sacramento-based Team Alpha Male camp, was the top earner of the night with his $150,000 payout.

Watch complete fight highlights of Tony Ferguson's split decision victory over Danny Castillo in the co-main event of UFC 177: Dillashaw vs Soto on Saturday, August 30, 2014, in Sacramento, California.

The Ultimate Fighter 13 winner Tony "El Cucuy" Ferguson outworked Team Alpha Male's Danny "Last Call" Castillo to earn the nod of two of the three judges despite Castillo's takedowns and control advantage. Castillo and his hometown crowd were none too pleased with the decision, and an argument could be made for either fighter to have been awarded the decision, but Ferguson was the more active of the two fighters in an otherwise lackluster affair.

Medeiros masterfully transitioned from a guillotine choke into a reverse guillotine/bulldog choke to submit Jackson, a late replacement who normally fights at featherweight.
