Duffee debuted at UFC 102 in record-setting fashion, knocking out Tim Hague in 7 seconds. Duffee then confidently celebrated to the camera and UFC President Dana White, saying "That was an appetizer, I want to eat now Dana, let me eat!" The UFC tried to serve him a plate of Headhunter stew, but due to injury, Duffee will have to starve for another UFC win for a bit longer. He expects to be back in action in early 2010.

Paul Buentello will be fighting in the UFC for the first time in nearly 4 years. He left the UFC on a winning note, with a TKO over the late Gilbert Aldana, after an unsuccessful bid for the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Andrei Arlovski. Buentello has gone 5-1 since leaving the UFC, only losing to Alistair Overeem in the finals of a 4-man tournament for the Strikeforce Heavyweight Championship.
Buentello has revealed the UFC has offered him 2 possible opponents to replace Duffee -- Mike Russow (12-1) or Stefan Struve (18-3). Russow is coming off a decision win over Justin McCully at UFC 102. Struve is coming off a Submission of the Night win over Chase Gormley at UFC 104. Like Duffee, both Russow and Struve are rising prospects in the UFC heavyweight division and either would be put to the test against the veteran gatekeeper Buentello.
