Kimbo Slice vs World's Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski Being Negotiated for MOOSIN 2 with Tim Sylvia vs Hong Man Choi

MMA Fighting spoke with Moosin executive Corey Fischer, who confirmed negotiations are underway for a Kimbo Slice vs. Polish strongman Mariusz "Dominator" Pudzianowski main event at MOOSIN 2 in Chicago, Illinois on October 9, 2010.

This is a fight in the best interest of both fighters, who are coming off big losses, but could still be a significant draw matched up against each other. Due to Kimbo Slice's YouTube streetfight videos and Mariusz Pudzianowski's record 5-time World's Strongest Man titles, both fighters came into MMA with significant drawing power, but both were exposed a bit in their last fights.

Kimbo Slice was released from the UFC after losing by TKO in the second round to 1-0 former NFL player and TUF 10 castmate Matt "Meathead" Mitrione at UFC 113. Mariusz Pudzianowski tapped out to strikes in the second round of his last fight with Tim Sylvia at MOOSIN 1, which despite its sloppy production was one of the best MMA shows of 2010 so far.

Moosin officials are also looking to book a co-main event fight between Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia and Hong Man "Techno Goliath" Choi at MOOSIN 2. This is a fight DREAM had unsuccessfully tried to put together for last year's DYNAMITE!! 2009 New Year's Eve co-promotion between K-1, DREAM and Sengoku.

Hong Man Choi has a 12-6 kickboxing record, but only a 2-3 MMA record. The last time Choi attempted to fight in the United States, against Brock Lesnar in his MMA debut at K-1 DYNAMITE!! USA in June 2007, Choi was denied a license to fight due to a benign tumor on his pituitary gland. Choi has since had surgery, so it will be interesting to see if he is able to secure a license to fight in Chicago come this October.

UPDATE: Kimbo Slice's manager has denied that Kimbo will be fighting in Moosin to Loretta Hunt. Given the parties are still in the negotiation stage, this does not rule out what would be an incredibly logical winnable fight on a big stage for Kimbo against Mariusz Pudzianowski.
