PRESTIGE FC 3 RESULTS: Sandy Bowman Makes Butterbean Tap to Strikes in Less Than a Minute in Canada - 10/21/11

PRESTIGE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS III was held Friday, October 21, 2011, at the Casman Centre in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

In the main event, Canada's own Sandy "Sandman" Bowman, a respected trainer and 40-year-old fighter with 2 pro MMA bouts under his belt, made short work of tubby Toughman legend Eric "Butterbean" Esch. After flooring Butterbean with a headkick, Bowman fed the big man punches until he had his fill. The 'Bean requested reprieve in the form of a tapout before the one-minute mark of the opening round, for his fourth loss in his last 5 fights.

History was made at Prestige FC 3 when the 0-10 Dave Logan won his first fight! It took a doctor stoppage, but after more than 4 winless years in the sport, and what could be the worst start to an MMA career ever, Logan has finally tasted victory. And how sweet it is.

Erin McDougall, witty MMA blogger (The Erin McDougall Experience) and stunningly gorgeous athlete, made a successful amateur MMA debut on the undercard. Top MMA News has the amateur results.
