MFC 29 RESULTS: Douglas Lima and Ryan Jimmo Retain, UFC Vets Marcus Davis, Hermes Franca, Pete Spratt Win - 4/8/11

MAXIMUM FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP XXIX: CONQUER was held Friday, April 8, 2011, at The Colosseum at Caesars in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The main card aired live on HDNet.

In the main event, MFC Welterweight Champion Douglas "The Phenom" Lima successfully defended his 170-pound title with a first-round TKO victory over the not so "Dangerous" anymore Terry Martin. Lima used his reach advantage and refined striking to quickly finish off the UFC vet.

In the co-main event, Canadian superstar Ryan "Big Deal" Jimmo fended off American wrestler Zak Cummings for 5 rounds to win a clear unanimous decision and retain the MFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Jimmo was cut on his forehead early from an accidental headbutt, which caused some alarm, but it never got out of control during the 25-minute fight. Jimmo popped Cummings in the nose, which ended up making Cummings bleed worse than Jimmo.

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has released the following salary payout figures for STRIKEFORCE CHALLENGERS 15: WILCOX VS DAMM, held April 1, 2011 at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, CA.

These are the fighter purses as reported to the CSAC by Strikeforce. See note at bottom of this article for more details on fighter salaries.

The winner of the main event, Justin "The Silverback" Wilcox, was the highest paid athlete with his $16,000 pay out. Winning fighters in RED.

FIGHT TIME 4 RESULTS: Jeff Monson Wins ISKA Heavyweight Championship Over Tony Lopez in Fort Lauderdale - 4/1/11

FIGHT TIME 4: MMA HEAVYWEIGHT EXPLOSION was held Friday, April 1, 2011, at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In the main event, former UFC heavyweight title contender Jeff "The Snowman" Monson won the vacant ISKA Heavyweight Championship by outworking and outpointing Tony "Kryptonite" Lopez for 5 rounds. Monson has now won 7 straight fights and is jockeying for a UFC roster spot, saying he'd be willing to drop down to 205-pounds to compete in the UFC.

American Top Team fighter Derrick Mehmen got back on track after a split decision loss by earning a unanimous decision win over Matt Thompson. Former WEC fighter Rafael "The Law" Dias, also out of American Top Team, picked up his gimme submission win over Jay Ellis. The 11-41 (!) Ellis has now lost 13 straight fights.

JUNGLE FIGHT 26 RESULTS: Wendell 'Negao' Oliveira and Lucas Rota Win Split Decisions, Norman Carlton Debuts - 4/2/11

JUNGLE FIGHT 26 was held Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Pacaembu Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Jungle Fight is the brainchild of MMA cult hero Wallid Ismail (pictured).

Gracie Fusion fighter Wendell "Negao" Oliveira scored his sixth straight victory by outpointing Gil De Feitas in the main event. In the co-main event, Gilberto "Giba" Galvao's 13-fight winning streak came to an end on the wrong end of a split decision against underdog Lucas Rota.

Eighteen-year-old Norman Carlton, a training partner of the UFC's Junior Dos Santos, made a successful pro MMA debut with a second-round TKO over Peterson Chacal of Team Demian Maia.

PFC 3 RESULTS: Karl Amoussou Defeats Satan in France - 4/2/11

PANCRASE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP III was held Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Marseille Sports Palace in Marseille, Bouches du Rhone, France. The event featured two four-man, one-night tournaments.

In the main event, Latvian kickboxer Konstantin "Lacplesis" Gluhov won the PFC Heavyweight Tournament with a brutal bodyshot knockout of Jessie Gibbs, who had advanced to the finals by choking out former UFC fighter Branden Lee "The Iron Lion" Hinkle.

In the co-main event, Karl "Psycho" Amoussou won a split decision over Nathan "Satan" Schouteren. This victory marks Amoussou's first win in 19 months. Amoussou lost a decision to Kazuhiro Nakamura in DREAM and had a technical draw with Trevor Prangley in Strikeforce since his last victory in August 2009.

MMA: THE RECKONING RESULTS: Jordan Mein and Chris Horodecki Win at First MMA Event Held in Ontario, Canada - 4/2/11

Knockout Entertainment presented MMA: THE RECKONING on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. This was the debut event for the new MMA promotion and the first-ever MMA event held in Ontario.

In the main event, Jordan "Young Guns" Mein increased his current winning streak to 4 straight with a unanimous decision win over Josh "The People's Warrior" Burkman, a veteran of 10 UFC fights. This was Burkman's first loss since being released from the UFC in October 2008. Mein, who has really come into his own as a mixed martial artist this year, also has a 2011 win over former UFC fighter Joe "Diesel" Riggs.

AFC 5 RESULTS: Sarah Kaufman Takes Out Megumi Yabushita in Canada - 4/2/11

ARMAGEDDON FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP V: JUDGMENT DAY was held Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Bear Mountain Arena in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

In the main event, former Strikeforce women's welterweight champion Sarah Kaufman was in action for the first time since losing her Strikeforce title to Marloes Coenen. Kaufman scored a third-round TKO over the legendary Japanese fighter Megumi Yabushita, who doesn't have the prettiest record but has only fought the best of the best over the years.

In the co-main event, Nick "The Juggernaut" Hinchliffe won a close decision over Ryan Machan.

In a battle of young, undefeated fighters, Derek "Mad Dog" Medler retained his perfect record with a submission win over Jarod "The Milkman" Milko.

SHOOTO BRAZIL 22 RESULTS: Ronny Markes Captures Gold in 45 Seconds, Ronys Torres Wins in Brazil - 4/1/11

SHOOTO BRAZIL 22 was held Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil.

In the main event, Ronny "Markes" Marki Sales Da Silva captured the Shooto South American Light Heavyweight Championship with a 45-second TKO win over the much less experienced Diogo Osama.

In the co-main event, Carlos Alexandre "Indio" Pereira also scored a first round TKO victory. Indio retained his Shooto South American Middleweight Championship with a win over the winless Julio "Junior" Beba, who was a very late replacement in this fight after Leandro "Batata" Silva and Eder Jones both withdrew due to training injuries.

BELLATOR 39 RESULTS: Eddie Alvarez Retains, Rick Hawn and Patricky Pitbull Advance, Ben Saunders Slaughters - 4/2/11

BELLATOR FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS XXXIX was held Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The main card aired live on MTV2.

In the main event, Eddie Alvarez outclassed Pat Curran for 5 rounds en route to a clear unanimous decision victory. Alvarez proved why he is considered to be one of the Top 5 lightweights on the planet. Alvarez will next fight the current Lightweight Tournament winner. Patricky "Pitbull" Freire advanced to the finals with a fantastic flying knee knockout of Toby Imada. Pitbull will fight the winner of Michael Chandler vs Lloyd Woodard for the opportunity to then fight Alvarez for the title.

Rick Hawn advanced to the Welterweight Tournament finals with a split decision win over former Bellator welterweight champion Lyman "Cyborg" Good. Hawn used his Olympic-level Judo to outpoint Good.
