M-1 CHALLENGE 26 RESULTS: Kenny Garner Takes Out Pat Bennett Again, Knockouts Galore in Costa Mesa, CA - 7/8/11
M-1 Heavyweight Champion Guram Gugenishvili was supposed to make his U.S. fight debut in the main event against Team Bombsquad's Pat Bennett, however, the undefeated Ukrainian behemoth suffered a training injury and was unable to compete at this event. Instead, Bennett was booked in a rematch with American Top Team's Kenny "Deuce" Garner. Ten months ago, Garner scored a first-round TKO win over Bennett. This time, the fight went into the second round, but the result remained the same. After Garner originally beat Bennett, he fought Gugenishvili next, but lost by submission. With this second victory over Bennett, Garner has likely earned himself a rematch with Gugenishvili for the M-1 heavyweight title.
