XFE CAGE WARS 8 RESULTS: J.A. Dudley, Brylan VanArtsdalen and Tom Marcellino Win Gold in Atlantic City, NJ - 7/29/11

XTREME FIGHT EVENTS presented CAGE WARS VIII: HOUSE OF PAIN on Friday, July 29, 2011, at the House of Blues in the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

In the main event, Ring of Combat veteran J.A. Dudley scored a majority decision victory over Brendan "Brutal" Barrett to capture the vacant XFE Heavyweight Championship. Former UFC announcer and longtime MMA judge Jeff Blatnick scored the fight a draw, but both other judges saw the fight for Dudley. After starting his MMA career a miserable 1-6, Dudley has now won 3 out of his last 4 fights. Barrett, on the other hand, has just a single victory in his last 7 fights.

In the co-main event, Anthony "Showtime" Leone's struggles continued. The Team Bombsquad fighter won his first 8 fights, but has since lost 5 out of 6 fights. Leone was choked unconscious by Pennsylvanian Brylan VanArtsdalen for the XFE Featherweight Championship. VanArtsdalen made his MMA debut in Bellator, but got choked out by Rich De Los Reyes. VanArtsdalen has since won 5 straight fights in the minor leagues.

RFC 24 RESULTS: James Hammortree Nails a Decision, John Cofer Cuffs a Submission - Word Play Galore in Tampa, FL - 7/29/11

REAL FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 24: EXPLOSION was held Friday, July 29, 2011, at the A La Carte Pavillion in Tampa, Florida.

Needles to say, both Hammortree and Cofer won their respective fights, however, both had to work for their victories against inexperienced fighters who were nonetheless game. This was Hammortree's first fight since being released from the UFC over a year ago.

In the co-main event, 21-year-old bantamweight Geane Herrera improved his record to 3-0 in less than a minute with a submission over journeyman Calvin Martin.
