Georgia Fighters Magazine 2010 Female Fighter of the Year Mary Ellen Cano was allegedly killed by fellow MMA fighter Wilbur Carl "Sonny" South in what police are calling a murder-suicide. The two Wild Bill's Fight Night competitors had been in a rocky romantic relationship.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out for the Cano family on the sudden lose of their daughter, and sister, Maryellen Cano. Maryellen was a long time academy member who always brought her best! She will be missed by everyone. Friends, the family has been hit hard by the recession and is in dire financial straits. UFC 138: LEBEN VS MUNOZ was held Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the LG Arena in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. The main card aired via tape delay on Spike TV. The undercard streamed live on the UFC's official Facebook page.

The main event, which was the first non-title 5-round fight in the history of the UFC, ended up being called after the second round. Chris "The Crippler" Leben's corner threw in the towel after Leben informed them that he was unable to see out of his eye, which had been busted open by Mark "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" Munoz. For 10 minutes, both middleweight fighters delivered on their promise of throwing bombs. It was Leben, however, who suffered the most collateral damage.

The inaugural MMA ATTACK was held Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Torwar Hall in Warsaw, Poland.

In the MMA main event, Polish heavyweight Michal "Masakra" Kita won a unanimous decision over former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco "Suave" Rodriguez. Unable to take Kita to the mat and getting outpointed on the feet, Rodriguez reverted to flopping and attempting to pull guard. Kita was having none of it, and won a clear-cut decision.

Former UFC middleweight Tomasz "Gorilla" Drwal spent a passive-aggressive 10 minutes with Gary Padilla. After a round-plus of light sparring between the two former teammates, a firefight broke out for the last two minutes of the fight. Both fighters threw wildly, with Drawl taunting and getting the better of Padilla with strikes.

In non-tournament heavyweight bouts, former UFC champions Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia and Andrei "The Pit Bull" Arlovski won bowling shoe ugly fights over seemingly uninspired big men Andreas "Big Daddy" Kraniotakes and Travis "The Ironman" Fulton.

Tim Sylvia won an incredibly boring unanimous decision over Andreas Kraniotakes in the main event, while Arlovski didn't come alive until there was one second left in his co-main event fight with Travis Fulton. Arlovski landed a picture-perfect headkick that knocked Fulton unconscious with just a single tick left on the time clock.
