SHARK FIGHTS 21: LASHLEY VS KNOTHE was held Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock, TX.

In the main event, former WWE superstar Bobby "The Dominator" Lashley won the vacant Shark Fights Heavyweight Championship with a first-round submission victory over late replacement Karl "The Original Son of Punishment" Knothe.

Bobby Lashley was originally supposed to fight now-former Shark Fights heavyweight champion Darrill Schoonover, however, the man affectionately known as "Titties" on The Ultimate Fighter 10 had to withdraw due to a training injury. Schoonover was promptly stripped of his title, and after a revolving door of opponents were lined up for Lashley, it was finally Karl Knothe who settled into the headlining role on less than a week's notice. In his post-fight interview, Lashley credited his success in this fight to his recent training with current Strikeforce Grand Prix finalist Josh Barnett.
