TACHI PALACE FIGHTS 11 RESULTS: Georgi Karakhanyan and Ulysses Gomez Capture Gold, Bubba Jenkins Wins Debut - 12/2/11

TPF 11: REDEMPTION was held Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Tachi Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California. This event streamed live on, and unlike previous TPF streams, this one actually went off without a hitch once it started.

Former Bellator tournament participants Georgi "Insane" Karakhanyan and Ulysses "Useless" Gomez both won vacant titles at TPF 11. Karakhanyan submitted Isaac De Jesus to win the TPF Featherweight Championship, and Gomez choked out Cody "The Renegade" Gibson to win the TPF Bantamweight Championship.

Cody Gibson won the first two rounds against Ulysses Gomez, but started to fade in the second round, which lead to complacency in the third round that got him submitted. While Gibson accepted his defeat with grace, Isaac De Jesus claimed that he had not tapped out, but instead had merely slapped down at Karakhanyan's face.

XFC 15 RESULTS: Eric 'It's a Wrap' Reynolds, Carla Esparza, Nick Newell and Corey Hill Win in Tampa, FL - 12/2/11

XFC 15: TRIBUTE was held Friday, December 2, 2011, at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.

In the main event, Floridian Eric "It's a Wrap" Reynolds survived an onslaught of submission attempts in the first round by BJJ black belt Jonatas "Peixe Frito" Novaes. Reynolds proved incredibly resilient and was able to escape several positions where he appeared dead to rights. Novaes, however, gassed himself out trying to finish Reynolds and went on to lose the final 2 rounds.

In the co-main event, Carla Esparza used her wrestling to dominate Felice "Lil Bulldog" Herrig. The former kickboxer Herrig spent most of the fight on her back, and although she was very active with her submission attempts, Esparza controlled the fight on the ground and did more damage in the stand-up to earn a clear-cut unanimous decision victory.
