PAYDAY: STRIKEFORCE: ROCKHOLD VS JARDINE SALARIES - Purse Amounts and Bonus Payouts for 1/7/12 on Showtime


The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has released the following salary figures for STRIKEFORCE: ROCKHOLD VS JARDINE, held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

These are the fighter purses as reported to the NSAC by Strikeforce. See note at bottom of this article for more details on fighter paychecks.

Veteran fighter Robbie Lawler was the top earner of the night with his $150,000 payout.

-Adlan "Borz" Amagov made $10,000 for 1:48 TKO loss.

Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal made $95,000 ($80K show + $15K win bonus) for 6:32 TKO win.

-Lorenz "The Monsoon" Larkin made $17,000 for 6:32 TKO loss.

Tyron "T-Wood" Woodley made $60,000 ($30K show + $30K win bonus) for 15:00 split decision win.

-Jordan "Young Guns" Mein made $9,000 for 15:00 split decision loss.

Tarec "Sponge" Saffiedine made $31,000 ($16K show + $15K win bonus) for 15:00 split decision win.

In my opinion, a fighter can NEVER be overpaid, and most fighters are often underpaid given the risk they incur in their workplace.
