Legacy Fighting Championship 12 was held Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Arena Theatre in Houston, Texas. The main card aired live on the newly named AXS TV (formerly HDNet) and featured color commentary from Alistair Overeem.

The original Legacy 12 main event was scrapped at the last minute after Chad Robichaux suffered serious kidney complications due to his weight cut. Robichaux was supposed to fight former UFC bantamweight Will Campuzano for the vacant LFC Flyweight Championship. Instead, the co-main event became the main event, which ended in controversy.
