The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts presented BAMMA 11 on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom.
Celebrity Big Brother winner and ex-husband of Katie Price, Alex Reid, got more than he bargained for against a 5-7 opponent that he outright admitted was handpicked to lose. Sam Boo served his purpose as a punching bag for Reid, but also ended up being one that hit back once in a while. Boo hurt the British tabloid star a couple of times with big punches, but neither fighter was able to finish. Reid got the judges' nod after a sloppy 15 minutes that saw both fighters run out of gas early.
In a fight that took place before Alex Reid's fight (which aired live in the UK) but then aired after via tape delay, Xavier "Professor X" Foupa-Pokam scored a big upset victory over BAMMA golden boy Jack Marshman by split decision. Foupa-Pokam sliced open Marshman with hellacious ground-and-pound elbows in the second round that caused Marshman to wear a crimson mask for the rest of the fight. One judge saw the fight 29-28 for Marshman, but the other two judges saw it 30-27 for Professor X.
