Toliver had originally replaced Brandon Anderson, who actually fought on this card, but was rejected by the California State Athletic Commission as opponent for Ruediger. As Ruediger himself put it on his Facebook page, "The commission pulled anderson because he is bad. He fought last night...and got tapped by 6-19 bobby sanchez."
