DEEP 57 IMPACT RESULTS: Amanda Lucas Wins Openweight Title in Japan - 2/18/12

DEEP 57 Impact was held Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Amanda "Powerhouse" Lucas, daughter of STAR WARS creator George Lucas, won her fourth straight MMA fight with a submission victory over Japanese pro wrestling star Yumiko Hotta, who last fought in mixed martial arts in 2000. Hotta proved to be no push-over, though, and made Lucas work for this victory. Lucas was finally able to put away the Japanese fighter in the third round with an Americana.

In the main event, DEEP Lightweight Champion Mizuto Hirota won his second straight fight since coming back from a horrific broken arm against Shinya Aoki. Hirota won a unanimous decision over Seichi Ikemoto, although once again Hirota took a lot of damage in the process, as he did in his last fight, a decision win over Katsunori Kikuno.

CAGE WARRIORS 45 RESULTS: Bobby Brents Submits BJJ Black Belt Rogent Lloret in London, England - 2/18/12

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship held CWFC 45: Lloret vs Brents on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town, North London, England, United Kingdom. The main card streamed live on

In the main event, five-foot-nine American heavyweight Bobby “Zombie” Brents submitted six-foot-three Spaniard Rogent Lloret. During the pre-fight hype, Bobby Brents expressed anger at the betting odds, which had him as a significant underdog, and said that the only way Lloret was going to beat him was if Lloret brought a gun with him into the cage. Brents’ words rang true, as he dropped Lloret with a big right hand near the end of the first round, secured side control and applied an arm-triangle choke. Since Lloret had no gun with him to defend himself, he had no choice but to tap out. Brents has lost only once in his last 13 fights, to current UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic in the NAAFS.
