In the main event, David "Hollywood" Hulett won the vacant CageSport Welterweight Championship with a first-round achilles lock submission victory over Len "The Liger" Bentley, who is most famous for being Brock Lesnar's biggest pain in the ass on The Ultimate Fighter 13.

David Hulett was originally supposed to fight champion "Fast" Eddy Ellis, but a training injury forced the MMA shark to vacate his title. The tables will now be turned when Hulett is the one wearing the 170-pound belt heading into his inevitable showdown with Ellis.

SHOWDOWN FIGHTS: BREAKOUT RESULTS: Josh Burkman Tames 'The Lion King' Koffi Adzitso in Utah - 2/24/12


Showdown Fights 11: Breakout was held Friday, February 24, 2012, at the UCCU Events Center on the UVU campus in Orem, Utah.

In the main event, former UFC welterweight Josh "The People's Warrior" Burkman won a unanimous decision over fellow Utahn Koffi "The Lion King" Adzitso, who had been riding a 4-fight winning streak. Josh Burkman has now won 4 out of 5 fights since being released from the UFC nearly 3-and-a-half years ago. All 4 of those wins have come in Utah under the Showdown banner. The loss was to current Strikeforce fighter Jordan Mein in Canada.

In the co-main event, Sean O'Connell outpointed previously undefeated Trevor Carlson. Jordan Clements won his eighth straight fight with a unanimous decision over David Castillo. Rookie heavyweight Jan Jorgensen picked up his third career win with a second-round TKO. In a battle of undefeated fighters, Jason South remained perfect against two-time Bellator winner Tim Ruberg.

TUF 15 CAST: Complete 32-Man Lightweight Tournament Roster for The Ultimate Fighter Live on FX - 3/9/12



The UFC has released a list of the 32 lightweight fighters who will compete live on FX on March 9, 2012, in the opening round of The Ultimate Fighter 15 tournament. Only 16 of these fighters will make it onto the show and move into the TUF house. The other 16 hopefuls will be left only with regret.

KSW 18 RESULTS: Valentijn's Day Comes Late for Marcin Rozalski, Overeem Submits Rozal in Poland - 2/25/12


Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki presented KSW 18: Unfinished Sympathy on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Orlen Arena in Plock, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland.

In the main event, last-minute replacement Valentijn "The Python" Overeem, older brother of current UFC heavyweight number one contender Alistair Overeem, submitted Polish kickboxer Marcin "Rozal" Rozalski. Rozal was originally supposed to fight K-1 legend Jerome Le Banner in an MMA match, which would've at least gave him a fighting chance in what likely would've been a striking contest. On the ground, Rozalski was a fish on dry land against Valentijn Overeem. The Python came into this fight with 17 submission wins compared to Rozalski's 2 total career MMA wins.

In the co-main event, a non-title fight, KSW Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz won a unanimous decision over former UFC middleweight "Super" Mario Miranda.

UFC 144 JAPAN RESULTS: Ben Henderson Wins UFC Lightweight Title - 2/25/12


The Ultimate Fighting Championship held UFC 144: Edgar vs Henderson on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the legendary Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Because of the time difference, this event was actually held in Japan on 2/26/12.

The main card aired live on PPV. The undercard aired live on FX, expect for the opening bout, which streamed live on the UFC's official Facebook page.

In the main event, Ben "Smooth" Henderson won the UFC Lightweight Championship after a high-paced, 25-minute encounter of artistic violence with Frankie "The Answer" Edgar. While Edgar only won 1 out of 5 rounds on two judges scorecards, the action was close enough that Edgar fans are going to be clamoring for an immediate rematch, as Edgar himself obliged after winning the title from BJ Penn in a close fight.
