ROAD FC 7 RESULTS: Armbar Wins for Roan Carneiro, Kyung Ho Kang and Takasuke Kume in Seoul, South Korea - 3/24/12

Road Fighting Championship VII was held Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.

In 135-pound tournament action, Go! Super Korean Season 3 winner "Mr. Perfect" Kyung Ho Kang scored a second-round armbar submission victory over Japanese bantamweight Shoko Sato; Jae Hoon Moon won a close decision over Soo Chul Kim; and Min Jung Song outpointed Jae Hyun So.

Former UFC welterweight Roan "Jucao" Carneiro armbarred Jung Hwan Cha in the closing seconds of the opening round. Carneiro has won 3 out of 4 fights since being released from the UFC in late 2008.

Takasuke Kume, training partner of UFC featherweight Hatsu Hioki, started the armbar streak with a slick second-round armbar win over Hyung Suk "Crazy Monkey" Lee, who fittingly replaced the injured Chang Hyun "Armbar" Kim.

Lloyd Woodard submitted tournament favorite Patricky "Pitbull" Freire with a nasty-looking kimura that popped Pitbull's elbow. Olympic judoka and Bellator welterweight tournament finalist Rick Hawn knocked out BJJ black belt Ricardo Tirloni.

Fellow former welterweight Brent Weedman deceptively submitted J.J. Ambrose with a shoulder choke. And Thiago Michel outpointed Rene "The Brazilian Bomber" Nazare to kick off the televised card.

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship (CWFC) held Cage Warriors Fight Night 4: Kraniotakes vs Hayes on Friday, March 16, 2012, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The event streamed live on MMAjunkie.com.

In the main event, former Bellator big man Mike "300" Hayes captured the vacant CWFC Heavyweight Championship in his Cage Warriors debut with a third-round submission victory over Andreas "Big Daddy" Kraniotakes, who had previously been undefeated in Cage Warriors.

Controversy erupted from the card's only female fight. Sheila "The German Tank" Gaff knocked out Jennifer Maia in 10 seconds, after Maia had attempted to touch gloves to start the fight and was met with fisticuffs in return. While her actions were legal, Gaff will surely take some flack for her unsportsmanlike behavior.
