PAYDAY: UFC 152 Salaries - Purse Amounts and Bonus Payouts for 9/22/12


The Ontario Athletic Commission (OAC) has released the following salary figures for UFC 152: Jones vs Belfort, held Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was the top earner of the night with his $465,000 payout.

The UFC awarded a total of $260,000 in bonus money to 4 fighters for performances at UFC 152: Jones vs Belfort, held Saturday, September 22, 2012, in Toronto, Canada. The event was headlined by UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones vs Vitor Belfort.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship presented UFC 152: Jones vs Belfort on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In the main event, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jonny "Bones" Jones successfully defended his 205-pound title with a fourth-round submission victory over former light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort. Jon Jones has now become the first man since UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell to defend the 205-pound title four times, and is one title defense shy of tying Tito Ortiz's all-time record of five consecutive light heavyweight title defenses.

In the co-main event, underdog Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson, billed as the fastest fighter in the UFC, captured the inaugural UFC Flyweight Championship with a split decision victory over Joseph Benavidez.

UFC 152 was a night chalked full of underdog victories. An amazing 8 of the 12 fights ended with the odds-on favorite losing.
