In the main event, The Pit Elevated Fight Team's "Cassius" Clay Collard notched a second-round TKO victory over fellow Utahn Jordan "Maximus" Clements. This was only the second loss of Clements's pro MMA career, and his first loss in his last 10 fights over the span of more than 3 years.
In the co-main event, Jason South improved his perfect record to 9-0 with a submission win over the hard-luck Kyacey Uscola. It's been all downhill for Uscola since his stint on The Ultimate Fighter 11. Uscola has now lost 8 straight fights.
Two fighters from the cast of currently running The Ultimate Fighter 17, who both were eliminated in the qualifying round and did not make it into the TUF house, were successful in their first fights since being featured on the TUF 17 season premiere episode. Kito Andrews earned a unanimous decision nod over journeyman Jake "The Snake" Paul, and former college football fullback Jake "The Honey Bear" Heun trucked over Colton Vaughn for a first-round TKO victory.
