PAYDAY: UFC 168 Salaries, Payouts for 'Weidman vs Silva 2' on New Year's Eve Weekend in Las Vegas - 12/28/13

The UFC 168 payouts have been released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) detailing the fighter purses for UFC 168: Weidman vs Silva II, held New Year's Eve weekend, Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

These salary figures do not include any individual fighter endorsement earnings for this event, nor do they include any undisclosed bonuses (which are commonly paid to fighters by Zuffa in private). Fighters pay out of pocket for training, licensing fees and related expenses. Fighters often spend months training for these fights, so they are being paid for all of the hard work they have already completed in the gym, as well as their performance on fight night.

The legendary Anderson Silva, who experienced the worst outcome of UFC 168 with a grotesquely broken leg, was the top earner of the night with his $600,000 payout.
