BELLATOR 110 RESULTS: Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and 'King Mo' Lawal Win Tourney Fights on Season 10 Premiere on Spike TV - 2/28/14

Bellator MMA Championship Tournaments presented their 10th season premiere, Bellator MMA 110: Rampage vs M'Pumbu, on Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The main card aired live on Spike TV as Episode 1 of Season 10.

Bellator executives could be heard breathing a collective sigh of relief after both Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal won their semifinal fights in the curtailed 4-man Bellator Season 10 Light Heavyweight Tournament. Thankfully the risky booking worked, and Bellator has now been served with their most marketable match-up possible between the two biggest and brightest personalities currently on their roster.

The Bellator Season 10 Featherweight Tournament quarterfinals also took place at Bellator 110. Matt "The Mangler" Bessette, Desmond "The Predator" Green, Will Martinez and Daniel "The Weasel" Weichel advanced to the 145-pound semifinals at Bellator 114. Matt Bessette, Des Green and Will Martinez all scored big upset victories to advance, respectively knocking off favorites Diego Nunes, Mike Richman and Goiti Yamauchi.

BELLATOR 99 RESULTS: Patricio Pitbull KO's Diego Nunes; Justin Wilcox, Fabricio Guerreiro and Joe Taimanglo Win - 9/13/13

Bellator MMA Championship Tournaments presented Bellator 99: Pitbull vs Nunes on Friday, September 13, 2013, at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. The main card aired live on Spike TV as Episode 2 of Season 9.

Bellator Season 4 Featherweight Tournament winner Patricio "Pitbull" Freire, fellow Brazilian Fabricio Guerreiro, former Strikeforce lightweight and NCAA Division I wrestler Justin "The Silverback" Wilcox, and Guam's "Baby" Joe Taimanglo advanced to the semifinals of the Bellator Season 9 Featherweight Tournament. The semifinal brackets will feature Pitbull vs Guerreiro and Wilcox vs Taimanglo, and should go down at Bellator 103.

In a battle of fortysomething former UFC fighters, Vladimir Matyushenko and Houston Alexander showed the world why they are no longer fighting in the UFC with an actionless stinker. To Matyushenko's credit, he was clearly winning the fight as it went along, so there was no reason for him to take any unnecessary risk against a notoriously hard-hitting opponent. The American Alexander, on the other hand, showed very little urgency or ability to implement any semblance of offense against his Belarusian counterpart. Instead, Alexander seemed to be endlessly searching for that one knockout blow that never came, all the while seemingly cripplingly wary of Matyushenko's wrestling. Matyushenko and Alexander take the 'Worst Fight of the Night' dishonor over prelim fighters Hector Ramirez and Savo Kosic, an inexperienced light heavyweight and Bellator's first fighter from Montenegro, who was in way over his head against the grinding American MMA veteran Ramirez in an equally dull fight.

The highlights of the night were Patricio Pitbull's knockout of former UFC and WEC fighter Diego Nunes, Justin Wilcox's stunning comeback submission win after surviving a series of nearly debilitating low leg kicks from Akop Stepanyan, Blagoi Ivanov's amazing return to MMA action after being comatose from a stab wound to the heart in 2012, and 20-year-old Brazilian phenom Goiti Yamauchi's slick submission win over MMA veteran Musa Toliver.
