SCC 4 RESULTS: Kendall Grove Chokes (Literally) in UFC Comeback Bid - 2/16/12

Superior Cage Combat held SCC 4: Grove vs Silva on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC President Dana White was in attendance, as was UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, who was cornering Paulo "Bananada" Goncalves Silva. ProMMANow has the play-by-play.

In the main event, a match-up of former UFC middleweights, Jay Silva choked out Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove in the second stanza after dazing him with a big punch early in the round. Silva went 0-2 in his UFC stint and would love to get a third shot inside the Octagon. Grove, who won The Ultimate Fighter 3 in June 2006 and then fought exclusively for the UFC for half of a decade, had put together back-to-back wins in ProElite since being released from the UFC. Now Grove will have to start all over again.
