Bellator 118: Warren vs Silva on Friday, May 2, 2014, at the Revel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The main card aired live on Spike TV as Episode 9 of Season 10.
In the main event, former Bellator featherweight champion Joe "The Baddest Man on the Planet" Warren captured the Bellator Interim Bantamweight Championship with a close 5-round unanimous decision victory over late replacement Rafael "Morcego" Silva. Warren lost the first 2 rounds against Silva, but was able to come back to win the final 3 rounds in a true gut-check performance. Warren was originally scheduled to fight Bellator Bantamweight Champion Eduardo Dantas at Bellator 118, however, the champion withdrew due to injury. Instead, Warren faced off with fellow 135-pound tournament winner Silva for the interim title and the opportunity to challenge Dantas down the road to unify the titles.
In the co-main event, Andrey Koreshkov starched late replacement Justin Baesman with a perfectly timed flying knee to the face to advance to the finals of the Bellator Season 10 Welterweight Tournament. Koreshkov will vie for the 170-pound tourney crown with the undefeated Adam McDonough.
