WSOF 2 RESULTS: First-Time Heavyweight Rumble Johnson Outpoints Andrei Arlovski at World Series of Fighting 2 - 3/23/13

The MMA World Series of Fighting presented WSOF 2: Arlovski vs Johnson on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Revel Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The main card aired live on the NBC Sports Network.

In the main event, former UFC welterweight Anthony "Rumble" Johnson made his long-awaited heavyweight debut with a close decision victory over former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski. The 230-pound Johnson fought in the UFC at 170 pounds, but missed weight three times before being fired. His last offense was his most egregious, when Johnson came in a whopping 12 pounds heavy for what was supposed to be a middleweight bout with Vitor Belfort at UFC 142. Instead, it essentially became a light heavyweight bout – the division to which Johnson will now return after this lone, fully puffed-up foray into the land of giants.

Here are the Main Event Video Highlights.

XFC 17 RESULTS: One-Armed Fighter Nick Newell Remains Undefeated, Felice Herrig Impresses Against Little Patricia - 4/13/12

Xtreme Fighting Championships presented XFC 17: Apocalypse on Friday, April 13, 2012, at the Oman Arena in Jackson, Tennessee. The main card aired live on HDNet.

Nick Newell was born with a congenital amputation and does not have a left hand. His left arm ends just after his elbow. This did not stop Newell from growing up to become a successful high school and collegiate wrestler. Now, "Notorious" Nick Newell is a 7-0 professional mixed martial artist. And with a true gut-check performance at XFC 17, Newell proved his legitimacy as a fighter. Newell came back from taking a significant beating from Chris Coggins in the second round to win his fight on two of the three judges' scorecards. The dissenting judge had the fight ruled a draw.

Felice "Lil Bulldog" Herrig, a true beauty and the beast, rebounded from a loss in her last fight to score a unanimous decision victory over fringe contender "Little" Patricia Vidonic. This is by far the most significant win of Felice Herrig's MMA career. Herrig posted this pic on Facebook after the fight, with the caption "This is not my blood!!"
