UFC 156 SALARIES: Aldo vs Edgar - UFC 156 Fighter Purses, Bonus Payouts for 2/2/13

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has released the following salary figures for UFC 156: Aldo vs Edgar, held on Super Bowl weekend, Saturday, February 2, 2013, in Las Vegas, NV.

These are the fighter purses as reported to the NSAC by the UFC. These salaries do not include any individual fighter endorsement earnings for this event, nor do they include any undisclosed bonuses that are commonly paid to fighters by Zuffa in private. Fighters pay out of pocket for training, licensing fees and related expenses. Fighters train for months in preparation for their fights, so they are being paid for their work already completed in the gym, as well as their performance on fight night.

Despite a tepid performance in a losing effort, 16-fight UFC veteran Rashad Evans was the top earner of the night with his $300,000 payout.
