These salary amounts do not include any individual fighter endorsement earnings for this event, nor do they include any undisclosed bonuses which are commonly paid to fighters by Zuffa in private. Fighters pay out of pocket for training, licensing fees and related expenses. Fighters spend months training in preparation for these fights, so they are being paid for their work already completed in the gym, as well as their performance on fight night.
Despite losing his opening prelim fight, Ryan Benoit surprisingly was the top earner of the night with his $108,400 payout. Because his opponent, Josh Sampo, missed weight for their flyweight bout, Benoit was awarded both portions of their 'Fight of the Night' bonus.
