BELLATOR 80 RESULTS: Alexander Volkov and Rad Martinez Advance to HW and FW Tournament Finals on MTV2 - 11/9/12

Bellator Fighting Championships presented Bellator 80: Warren vs Evinger on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The main card of this event (Episode 7 of Season 7) aired live on MTV2.

In the main event, former Bellator featherweight champion Joe Warren made a successful return to bantamweight against an overmatched Owen Evinger, brother of WMMA star Tonya Evinger. Warren flirted with 135-pounds before, but has now made a permanent move back to bantamweight after suffering a brutal knockout loss to Pat Curran at 145-pounds.

Alexander Volkov advanced to the finals of the Bellator Season 7 Heavyweight Tournament with a last-second knockout of Vinicius "Spartan" Queiroz at the end of the second round. The finish came after referee James Warring, a former pro boxer, inexplicably stood the fighters up from the ground after just mere seconds.

The Rocky Balboa adversary-inspired Russian heavyweight Alexander "Drago" Volkov will fittingly fight American Richard Hale, a real-life Rocky, for the heavyweight tournament title at the Bellator 84 season finale.

Rising star Rad Martinez looked excellent in outpointing MMA veteran Wagnney Fabiano over the course of 15 minutes to advance to the finals of the Bellator Season 7 Featherweight Tournament. Martinez will lock horns with fellow top 145-pound prospect Shahbulat Shamhalaev in the tourney final at Bellator 83.

BELLATOR 72 RESULTS: Karl Amoussou Wins Welterweight Tourney, Travis Wiuff and Attila Vegh Advance - 7/20/12

Bellator Fighting Championships held their second of three Summer Series 2012 events, Bellator 72: Baker vs Amoussou, on Friday, July 20, 2012, at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida.

The main event saw the delayed conclusion of last season's 170-pound tournament. In the opening minute of the fight, Karl "Psycho" Amoussou pulled off an astonishing rolling heel hook that elicited an immediate tapout from Bryan "The Beast" Baker. Karl Amoussou will now challenge Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, while Bryan Baker will once again have to regroup after losing in his second Bellator tournament final. Baker lost by first-round TKO to Alexander Shlemenko in the Season 2 middleweight tournament.

Attila Vegh and Travis "Diesel" Wiuff advanced to the finals of the Bellator Summer Series 2012 Light Heavyweight Tournament with decision victories. Travis Wiuff, who holds a non-title win over Bellator Light Heavyweight Championship Christian M'Pumbu, steamrolled Tim Carpenter for 3 rounds for a clear-cut decision. Attila Vegh squeaked by Emanuel Newton with a split decision verdict, in which the dissenting judge scored every round for Newton.

Heavy hitters Marius Zaromskis and Waachiim Spiritwolf failed to deliver the fireworks that were expected in their trilogy fight. Instead of engaging Spiritwolf in a crowd-pleasing brawl, which proved to play to Spiritwolf's favor in their last fight, Zaromskis kept things technical this time and used his superior striking acumen to outpoint the Native American fighter.
